As per the provisions of EE(CNV) Act 1959 and instructions issued by DOPT, all vacancies of scientific & technical in nature occurring in the central Government Establishments with the Level 5 or above are to be notified to the Central Employment Exchange(CEE). The Central Employment Exchange is located in the office of Directorate of Employment at Shram Shakti Bhawan, New Delhi under M/o Labour and Employment. It is responsible for advertisement of such vacancies in the Employment News Paper. Other Central government vacancies, in respect of which the employing authority specially desires, circulation outside the State will also be notified to the Central Employment Exchange. In addition to this, such vacancies are also to be placed at National Career Service (NCS) Portal vide instruction issued by DoPT in November, 2016.
Ex-servicemen Cell: Ex-servicemen Cell, Directorate General of employment registers the name of disabled defence personnel under Priority I and dependents of deceased or severely disabled in war or peace under Priority II A after receiving duly attested documents forwarded through Zila / Rajya Sainik Boards. The Employment assistance is provided through the concerned Employment Exchanges. In order to provide placement services to the Ex-Servicemen/Border Security Force Personnel and the dependents of Defence Service Personnel/Border Security Force personnel killed or severely disabled in action, against the vacancies reserved for ex-servicemen and earmarked for priority categories, an Ex-Servicemen Cell was set up in the Directorate General of Employment & Training (now DGE) in July, 1972. Subsequently, the scope of the special service was also extended for the benefit of Ex-Servicemen during peace time as well as dependents of the Defence Service Personnel killed or severely disabled in peace time provided that the death or was attributable to military service, with effect from Feb, 1981.
