  4. Content Contribution, Moderation and Approval Policy

    Contents are regularly checked and cross checked by officers of DGE and section concerned . Following this policy, we provide a role based Content Management system. This CMS helps the website team in giving role specific access of administrator panel to different Users. The Web administrator will also be able to manage information specifically meant for internal use, which will be viewable to all members after the successful login. Admin can create the users by assigning him a particular role and Module to which functions of a particular user are limited. These roles are:

    Creator

    These are the Content creator’s. Their responsibilities are to add/edit/delete respective content on the website and send it to for approval.

    Moderator

    Their responsibilities are to approve the content coming from the creator’s

    Publisher

    A publisher could Edit and review the content. He is responsible for publishing the content on the website

    These personnel’s would be appointed by the Web Administrator and would be responsible for overall quality and quantity of information on the Website. The Web Administrator will be responsible for overall supervision to ensure that authentic and updated information are available on the website.

  5. Content Review Policy

    The web Administrator and the assigned Personnel’s will have the responsibility for periodically reviewing the content of the website in respect of their respective domains. A proper workflow would be followed before final updation of content on the website.

  6. Content Archival Policy

    Following this policy we provide Archival Management to the Client which would be covering those content areas which needs to be put into Archives. This will help website team in ensuring that the expired content is removed from the main website. There will be an Archival System available on the Website, which will transfer the expired content in archives section as soon as it reaches expiry date. Archived Data will be available in each page along with search option to search data between 2 two given dates.

  7. Security Policy

    • Website has been placed in protected zones with implementation of firewalls and IDS (Intrusion Detection System) and high availability solutions.
    • Website was audited for known application level vulnerabilities before the launch and all the known vulnerability was addressed.
    • All the development work is done on separate development environment are well tested on staging server before updating it on the production server
    • The content contributed through the content management system is through authenticated way and are not published on the production server directly. Any content contributed has to go through the moderation process to the final publishing to the production server.
    • All newly released system software patches; bug fixes and upgrades shall are expediently and regularly reviewed and installed on the web server.
    • Website requires security clearance certificate before hosting any website in its data centre. The new website will be audited by Cert-in empanelled auditor and all the vulnerabilities will be fixed. Upon completion, security clearance certificate of cert-in empanelled auditor will be submitted.
  8. Website Monitoring Policy

    The website of Directorate General of Employment is monitored periodically to address and fix the quality and compatibility issues around the following -parameters:

    • Performance: Site download time is optimized for a variety of network connections as well as devices. All important pages of the website are tested on YSlow tool on monthly basis to optimize the performance of the web pages.
    • Functionality: All modules of the website are tested for their functionality. The interactive components of the site such as, feedback forms and search tested manually on monthly basis.
    • Broken Links: The website is thoroughly reviewed to rule out the presence of any broken links or errors. broken links are checked through the chrome browser extension 'check my links' on a fortnightly basis
    • Feedback: Feedback is received on the website through the feedback form. Website of Directorate General of Employment receives about 4-5 feedback each day.
      a. The feedback received through the 'feedback form' is managed at the CMS level
      b. On submission of feedback the user first gets an automated response 
      c. Spam mails are deleted
